John David (BM Columbus State University, MM University of Georgia, DMA University of Miami) serves as instructor of applied percussion at NGCSU.  Mr. David has performed throughout the United States and Europe as a jazz and classical percussionist.  He currently co-leads his own jazz small group/big band in Atlanta and is the drummer for the Cobb Jazz Orchestra.  Mr. David is also a percussion instructor at Columbus State University and previously served as percussion instructor and music department chair for the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program.
